Books at Star Dot Star is Three
Books at Star Dot Star began operations in late July 2003 with only about 300 books online.
Now, three years later, our inventory is more than ten times that amount with well over 4,000 items from which you can choose.
To celebrate, we've trawled through our first 1,500 listed inventory items and reduced the prices by as much as 50% on at least half of them. That means some items will cost you as much as £20 less today than they would have a week ago.
Now's the time to take advantage by picking up some great holiday reading or to add to your collection. Enjoy.

Welcome
Wellllll, I've finally given in to the ubiquitous trend toward blogging. At least on a trial basis.
Some of you will know me from my more than 40 years as a journalist, editor and photographer. Others from my more than 20 years of online presence via newsgroups, email lists and other such electronic forums. And still others from my three years as an online bookseller at Books at Star Dot Star.
Those who know me from my online presence will either loathe me or love me for my very outspoken views mostly on politics and current affairs. Those who loathe me are should probably turn away now and go to someone else's blog or website. Those who love me or are unfamiliar with me, please carry on reading and conversing. At least until you've decided whether you're a lover or a loather.
Friends (ie lovers) do and should always refer to me as either "tober" or "tbt" (always lower case). Others may use any name for me they like.
This blog will feature commentary, articles and the ocassional interview. They will be overwhelmingly about books and writers. But there also will be the inevitable (because I can never remember how to spell ocassional) political or current affairs commentary. The latter will be so noted so that if such things disinterest you, you can easily ignore them.
And, of course, there will also be notices of Books at Star Dot Star's newly-published catalogues, sales, special offers and recent acquisitions of interest (of interest to me if no one else).
I hope you'll enjoy. And again, welcome to my blogspace.
