Corrected AuctionExplorer shows the way with online auctions

There are now more than 150 lots up for auction (and the number is increasing daily) in AuctionExplorer's (AE) next auction (No 44). The auction starts in two weeks, 31st of August 2006 16:30 (GMT). Auction 43 had well over 700 lots. AE was designed by booksellers specifically for international collectors & the booktrade.

You can view my lots by going here: (Until the auction opens you can only view, the bidding button is inactive till then)

Or preview the entire auction here.

So why AuctionExplorer rather than eBay?

Several good reasons, the main one of which is that it is operated in a more professional manner:

1. One auction is conducted monthly (there are plans to increase frequency at some point) and for at least a fortnight before the auction begins, lots may be previewed.

2. Only members of accredited antiquarian book trade associations which includes any of the national associations affiliated to ILAB (The International League Of Antiquarian Booksellers) are allowed to place lots for auction. You therefore know you're seeing professional and accurate descriptions of the lots in which you're interested.

3. The site is well-designed and pages load quickly.

4. Very importantly, the help from the techies there is thorough and almost immediate, via emails and/or the phone (they call you if you want).

Take a look, it will be well-worth the time.
